My attitude toward marathon training has been meh lately. After my 12 miler on Monday (not 13 like my typo blog post title stated) I haven’t run at all. I thought about it twice if that counts. It’s been so cool in the mornings so I have been walking with sir doodle for about 40 minutes each morning.
If I don’t find my mojo I’ll have to get someone to force my butt out there for at least two short runs mid week.
I spent my lunch break on the NYC Marathon website trying to get jazzed.
It might have helped a little. Let’s see how it translates over then next 8 weeks. Maybe I need a new pair of sneakers. Doesn’t that always make you fall in love with running again?
Well, I need to be up in 6 hours to conquer the long run so I’m off to dreamland. Maybe I’ll discover the perfect remedy to my “meh” while I’m there 🙂

I’ve definitely lost my marathon training mojo, but am loading my iPod up with a bunch if my favorite podcasts and am hopeful those will help me plow through 20 miles tomorrow (augh).
I have been running in Brooks Ravenna’s for about 3 years now and adore them! Ravenna’s in combo with Berry Superfeet inserts have kept my wonky, injury prone, twice operated upon feet happy through many marathon training cycles. Now,If only I could find the magic bullet for my knees and hips!

I totally need some new music and a new pair of shoes. Wow 2 foot operations? Glad you’re past that!
So today I visualized my boyfriend and his family along the course cheering for me in the later miles. It was fun to think about that. And then I started to think about the fact it might be 55 degrees on race day and that got me excited too =)
