We’ve been reaching the mid 50s here in New York City lately! I’ve been really testing my willpower and not running even though it’s been such great running weather. So I’ve been doing a lot of the next best thing….walking with the doodlebug.
I’ve been eating ALL.THE.CARBS and last night was no different. My friend Donna’s plans fell through, so we made a last minute decision to meet up in the city for dinner. It became my belated birthday dinner.
We intended on hitting up the famous Lombardi’s pizza in Little Italy but the wait for a table was over an hour. So we headed up to the Flatiron District to a great Italian restaurant called Zero Otto Nove. But I couldn’t help but take a few pics as we walked through Little Italy and SoHo. I used to work in that area and boy do I miss it!
I could kick myself for not getting a picture of me and Donna! Oh, and I also didn’t capture a picture of the arugula salad or my vanilla gelato either. #fail Donna and I have been friends for 17 years now. And of all our dinners in the city this one was in the top 10 for sure.
So Duncan wanted me to show you a few other of his Christmas/Birthday Gifts…He’s ready to share his Lambchop addiction with my readers. I brought him home the big Lambchop about a year and a half ago. He ripped it open and took all the stuffing out just before me and Mr. SOTSS started dating. So on date #2 Mr. SOTSS brought Duncan the little Lambchop. And for Christmas he bought Duncan the medium size one. Hmmm….I guess he’s sort of an enabler. LOL!
And Duncan also got a new tag.
Oh and I bought this car magnet last year but just found it packed away. I love gift discoveries!
I took down all my outside holiday decorations. Usually they stay up until New Year’s but with the warm weather I couldn’t resist. It was great to do it without wearing gloves =) The tree is still up but will most likely come down by the end of the week. I’ll miss it. But i’ll be happy to have my living room back in order.
So how was your weekend? Have you been having weather that is unusual for your area or the norm?
Isn’t the weather crazy? I can’t believe how much warmer it is compared to last year (I’m up in Westchester county).
We’re trying to sell our townhouse and had people looking at it this weekend, so we had to clean up some of the Christmas mess. The tree will probably come down sometime this week.
