Hey ho!
So the bricks on my feet have gotten a bit lighter. I’m still feeling sluggish but definitely not like that 7 miler this past Friday.
I ran 4.5 miles around Mr. SOTSS’ neighborhood on Sunday and while the pace was similar my effort level was way less.
I was also excited to see some signs of Spring.
We took the dogs for a stroll in the woods too.
Duncan has been perfecting his posing on the stairs this week.
When I came home from Mr. SOTSS’ house I realized I grabbed his earbuds on accident. They were all tangled on his kitchen counter and I just scooped them up. Luckily he has an extra pair and hasn’t dumped me over this. 🙂
I ran another 4 this morning.
Today I hit the magical 11:11 average pace when I walked in the door it was exactly 11:11. Double wishes!
Do you make wishes at 11:11? I’ve been doing this since high school.
I’m so glad I stumbled across your blog! I’ve always been a lover of running, but usually kept it to 3-5km. I took the plunge this year though and registered for my first half marathon in September, exciting times! I just wanted to say, I really resonated with this post! It’s so easy to compare our efforts with others. While you wrote about being worried about not being as good as others, I was over here just reading your blog and thinking “I hope I get as good as her one day.” Isn’t it funny how we do that? I think you’re doing a great job, and I also need to remind myself that I am on my own journey and doing a great job too!
Thanks for sharing your stories with us, I have found a new blog now to add to the list of favourites :).
Thank you so much Laura! And welcome!
